Gunung Hydropower Sdn Bhd, Gunung Capital Bhd’s (G Capital) majority owned subsidiary, has signed a renewable energy power purchase agreement (REPPA) with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), Malaysia’s national electricity provider. The REPPA is for a duration of 21 years. Commercial operation on the solar photovoltaic (PV) energy generating facility is scheduled to commence from December 2025. According to the terms of the REPPA, TNB will purchase energy from Gunung Hydropower at an RM0.29 per KWh feed-in tariff (FiT) rate.

The solar PV plant is estimated to have an annual production capacity of 68 GWh. G Capital expects a potential revenue of more than RM400 million over the course of the REPPA from the date of commissioning and completion of the plant.
