Gulf Renewable Energy Company Limited, a subsidiary of Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF), has received the “Renewable Energy Deal of the Year – Thailand” award from The Asset Triple A Sustainable Infrastructure Awards 2025. The recognition highlights GULF’s success in securing over USD957 million in financing for 12 large-scale solar power projects in Thailand.

The projects have a combined contracted capacity of 649 MW and include eight solar farms (393 MW) and four solar-plus-storage systems (256 MW), slated for commercial operation in 2024–25. The financing package was led by the Asian Development Bank and supported by global institutions such as AIIB, Export Finance Australia, EXIM China, and DEG.

GULF aims to achieve 40 per cent renewable capacity by 2035 and Net Zero emissions by 2050. The award reflects growing global interest in sustainable financing and Thailand’s clean energy transition policy.
