The Government of the Philippines has approved the establishment of 16 wind energy facilities, including a PHP163 billion project funded by Denmark. These facilities will be located in Camarines Sur, featuring the country’s first and largest offshore wind farm.
The wind farm will be constructed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on San Miguel Bay and will aid the government’s efforts to transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy (RE).
