Singapore-based The Blue Circle has signed an agreement with China-based Goldwind Science & Technology Company Limited to buy goldwind turbines for a 100.8 MW wind project in the Philippines.

Under the agreement, Goldwind will supply, commission and service the turbines for The Blue Circle’s Kalayaan 2 project in Laguna Province. The order encompasses the supply and installation of 17 units of the GW 165-6.0 MW wind turbines and ten years of service.

Kalayaan 2 is set to become one of the largest wind farms in the Philippines. The company expects the project to commence commercial operations in mid-2026. The construction of Kalayaan 2 is already underway.
