Gojek has partnered with Dat Bike to pilot the use of electric motorcycle-based ride hailing services in Vietnam. Starting May 18, 2023, Gojek will use the Dat Bike Weaver++ motorbikes to deliver transportation, logistics and food delivery services in the country.
The electric vehicles (EVs) will be able to generate about four times more cost and fuel savings as compared to the internal combustion engine (ICE) motorbikes. The vehicles have a maximum speed of 90 km/h and can travel around 200 km on a full charge.
Multiple community charging points will be available in Ho Chi Minh City. The Weaver++ can be fully charged in 180 minutes.
This move aligns with the GoTo Group’s plans to transition its fleet into 100 per cent EVs.
