Gojek and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to improve intermodal connectivity and reorganise areas around railway stations. GoRide Instant and GoCar Instant pick-up points are now available at 37 railway stations across Indonesia, including Bogor, Gambir and Pasar Senen stations, supporting first- and last-mile connectivity while reducing congestion around stations.
The collaboration builds on the GoTransit integration launched in 2022, which enables users to book KRL Commuter Line tickets alongside GoRide and GoCar services. A study by the Center for Transportation and Logistics Studies at Gadjah Mada University found that integrated transport services increased KRL usage among Gojek users by up to 38.3 per cent. The partnership also covers the use of GoPay for payments across the KAI ecosystem and the potential integration of Gojek and GoPay technologies with the Access by KAI app and KAI Group businesses.
