Several French companies have expressed interest in joining the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr) 147 km North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR), in the Philippines. The agency is seeking foreign expertise to ensure efficient operations of one of the country’s flagship infrastructure projects.

Philippine chargé d’affaires in France emphasised that France’s extensive experience in operating subways, regional rail, and high-speed networks could provide significant benefits to the NSCR. Manila hopes such expertise will help optimise passenger service and system management once the line is operational.
