Fluence, an energy storage company, has completed construction of two 20 MW/20 MWh battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects in the Philippines. SMC Global Power Holdings Corporation had contracted the construction of the battery storage facilities. A total of 430 MW of projects will be added to the recent 40 MW systems as part of a 470 MW/470 MWh order.
SMC has invested a total of USD1 billion in energy storage solutions which will enable it to deploy 1,000 MW of BESS projects. Fluence is one of its major contractors.
