CRRC Qingdao has unveiled the first of 11 Yawan high-speed trains for the Jakarta–Bandung high-speed rail (HSR) line in Indonesia. The train set consists of eight cars (four powered cars and four trailer cars). Each car has a capacity to carry 601 passengers.

CRRC Qingdao secured a CNY2.51 billion contract in 2017 to supply 11 train sets for the project.

The Jakarta–Bandung HSR line will span 143 km and is being developed at an estimated cost of USD8 billion by the Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) consortium. Passenger service on the line is expected to commence from June 2023.
