Financing approved for skybridge to RTS Link station in Malaysia

The Government of Malaysia has approved financing of RM50 million for the construction of a pedestrian skybridge linking the Coronation Square to the Johor Bahru Sentral station. The JB Sentral station is part of the Johor-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) link. Works on the project is expected to start in 2024.

The 280-metre elevated skybridge will reduce time between Coronation Square to JB Sentral to a four-minute walk, easing access to the Customs Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex checkpoint. This is one of the key projects in making Johor Baru into a walkable city.
