Japan-based JGC has secured the front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for the green hydrogen and methylcyclohexane (MCH) project proposed by ENEOS and Sumitomo in Malaysia. The financial details and duration of the contract are yet to be announced.
ENEOS and Sumitomo plan to set up a system to produce hydrogen without CO2 emissions, using renewable energy (RE) from hydroelectric power plants, which is converted to MCH. Additionally, JGC aims to help businesses expand in the hydrogen and ammonia sectors, contributing to a society with fewer CO2 emissions.
