The Export-Import Bank of Korea will provide $520 million in a project financing loan for the construction of a power plant in Indonesia. Indonesia is building the 1,000 MW coal-fired power plant in Cirebon, a port city on Java island. The Korea Midland Power Company and Samtan Company of South Korea are part of the consortium in the 25-year, build-transfer-operate project. The state-run policy bank had previously extended $570 million in loans for the construction of four separate power plants in Indonesia.
