The Export-Import (Exim) Bank of Korea has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Transport to finance a 17.9 km road project connecting Ho Chi Minh City to a nearby industrial complex. The bank will contribute about 4,218.34 billion dong through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), while the remaining 4,851.09 billion dong will be contributed by the private sector. The EDCF was launched in 1987 to finance infrastructure projects in developing countries. South Korea is involved in 44 projects through the EDCF with a total contribution of 36,699.6 billion dong.
