The Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) has announced plans to construct 11 expressway projects by 2034. The combined length of all the new construction and expansion projects is over 200 km and will require investments of THB400 billion. 

Some of the key projects planned include the construction of the 18.7-km-long Rama III-Dao Khanong-Western Outer Ring Road at an investment of THB30 billion which is expected to commence passenger operations in May 2025, the 19.25-km-long Nakhon Nayok-Saraburi expressway, the third phase (Outer Ring Road section) at an investment of THB24 billion and is currently pending EIA approval. Meanwhile, the Stage 3 expressway project in the N1 and N2 sections of northern Bangkok will cost THB67 billion and is in the feasibility study phase while the 3.98-km-long Kathu-Patong expressway in Phuket, requiring investments of THB15 billion, is under the land expropriation process. 

The 30.62-km-long Muang Mai-Koh Kaew-Kathu expressway project in Phuket will cost THB47 billion and authorities are currently preparing for the bidding process.

EXAT is expected to commence the bidding for projects worth THB126 billion in 2024.
