The Energy Market Authority (EMA) and PetroChina have signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost Singapore’s expertise in LNG supply and management. This collaboration aims to enhance Singapore’s energy security and explore alternative energy sources.
The agreement includes studying supply chain strengthening, knowledge exchange on LNG market dynamics, and potential joint procurement for more favorable contract terms. The partnership also explores advancing Singapore as a regional LNG hub and developing sustainable gas-to-power solutions, expanding Singapore’s role in the Asian energy landscape.
