Elonroad, Nanyang Technological University Singapore’s Energy Research Institute (ERI@N), ALBA W&H Smart City and Scania have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to evaluate automated conductive stationary charging for electric heavy vehicles in Singapore. The collaboration will assess the integration of Elonroad’s automatic charging technology into logistics operations. ERI@N will contribute research, compatibility testing and validation capabilities, ALBA W&H Smart City will provide the operational environment for trials, and Scania will support the installation of the technology on its vehicles.

The initiative aims to assess the potential of automated charging to support the electrification of commercial transport operations. The partners will combine research and testing expertise with real-world fleet operations to evaluate the technology’s suitability for deployment. The collaboration also supports Singapore’s transport electrification objectives by exploring charging solutions that could improve the operational practicality of electric heavy vehicles.
