The Energy Development Corporation (EDC) and MORE Electric Power Corporation (MORE), a unit of Prime Strategic Holdings Incorporated, have signed a five-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for the supply of 20 MW renewable mid-merit energy in the Philippines.
Starting July 5, 2022, energy will be sourced from EDC’s Unified Leyte Geothermal Power Plant (ULGPP). The facility has a capacity of producing around 588 MW of geothermal energy.
EDC has over 1,480 MW of installed capacity, accounting for 20 per cent of the Philippines’ total RE capacity.
