The Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) has introduced a new category, Electrical Contractor with Class PV (Grid-Connected) (ECCPV (GC)), to regulate the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in Sabah, Malaysia.
The introduction of the ECCPV (GC) category aligns with the Grid-Connected Solar PV System For Self Consumption Programme In Sabah (Selco–PV Sabah) initiated by ECoS. This program allows consumers to install solar PV systems for self-consumption, reducing utility bills and promoting clean energy use. Additionally, the initiative is in line with the Sabah Energy Roadmap and Master Plan 2040 (SE-Ramp 2040).
