Eastern Communications, one of the leading telecommunications providers in the Philippines, was awarded Telco of the Year at the Asia Leaders Awards 2020. The Telco of the Year award seeks to identify and honour innovative telecommunication companies that have excelled in the field of network technologies, operations, new implementations, innovative products, and services. The award also aims to recognise the best telecom products, applications, services, technologies and initiatives in Asia.
Eastern Communications rolled out different initiatives in the past year to support Filipinos during the pandemic. Their efforts included a holistic Covid-19 response entitled “Safe and Strong at Home” that mainly helped front-line workers, employees, client and individuals to be safe and informed. The company also introduced “Eastern Home”, a reliable internet for work-from-home operations.
