Passenger service has commenced on the Yellow Line in Bangkok, Thailand. The city’s first driverless urban transit line spans 30.4 km, connecting Lat Phrao district in Bangkok and Samrong station in Samut Prakan province and covering 23 stations. Around 30 four-car Innovia monorail train sets have been delivered by Alstom for use on the MRT line, which can transport up to 17,000 passengers per hour.

The line connects with the Blue Line at Ratchada station and with other four lines, that is, the Grey Line at Chalong Rat intersection, the Orange Line at Lam Sali intersection, the Airport Rail Link at Rama IX interchange, and the Green Line at Samrong station.

The Eastern Bangkok Monorail (EBM) also plans to reduce the headway between trains during peak hours from the existing 10 minutes to five minutes. This will be implemented before the end of June 2023.
