The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has allocated PHP14 billion to its Tourism Road Infrastructure Program (TRIP) for its proposed budget for 2024. The program will develop access roads and bridges across tourist sites in the Philippines. For the 2023 annual budget, the program was allocated PHP 17.7 billion.
The TRIP funds the construction and upgradation of roads and bridges in tourist sites in the country which is not covered by other funding sources.
