The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the San Jose Del Monte City Government have agreed to relocate the MRT-7 San Jose Del Monte Station closer to the North Caloocan boundary, still along Quirino Highway in the Philippines. Initially planned near the Muzon-Tungkong Mangga intersection, the station’s new site will also host an Intermodal Transportation Terminal (ITT) for up to 60 buses and connect via a six-lane road to the NLEX interchanges at Bocaue and Balagtas.

The San Jose Del Monte Station is one of 14 along the 28.8-km MRT-7 line, which links to the Unified Grand Central Terminal at EDSA-North Avenue. With 12 stations already built, partial operations are expected by late 2025 or early 2026. The MRT-7 project, worth PHP 77 billion, follows a Build-Operate-Transfer model with San Miguel Corporation as concessionaire. Proposals exist to extend the line further to the NMIA in Bulakan, Bulacan.
