The Land Transit Authority (LTA) of Singapore has awarded KTC Civil Engineering & Construction a USD480 million civil contract for the design and construction of the Maju station and the tunnels under the Cross Island Line Phase 2 (CRL2). The construction works are expected to commence by Q2 2024 and passenger services are scheduled to commence by 2032.
The 15-km-long CRL Phase 2 will connect Sunset Way and West Coast and is expected to reduce the time from 40 minutes to 20 minutes.
Additionally, KTC is also constructing the Sungei Bedok mass rapid transit (MRT) station of the TEL Phase 5 (TEL5) and DTL Phase 3 extension (DTL3e).
