The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) has approved a PHP4 billion loan for the City Government of Cabuyao to finance infrastructure projects. This funding is granted under the bank’s Assistance for Economic and Social Development (ASENSO) for Local Government Units Financing Program, which aims to improve education, public health, access and mobility, disaster mitigation, and public security services.

Of the total amount, PHP2.665 billion of the loan will be allocated for constructing a new three-story city hall, college buildings, a sports arena, a public market, and implementing a Digital Education and Free WiFi Program for the Pamantasan ng Cabuyao. Around PHP1.233 billion will be used to construct and rehabilitate various roads, road fences, and bridges and complete flood control projects. The remaining PHP102 million will be spent on procuring and installing street lighting in barangays.
