Danantara Indonesia, Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power, and Indonesia’s state energy firm Pertamina have signed landmark agreements to accelerate clean energy and water infrastructure development in Indonesia. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Danantara and ACWA Power targets investments in renewable energy, green hydrogen, combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plants, and water desalination. A parallel pact between ACWA Power and Pertamina will focus on the joint development of 500 MW of renewable and gas-to-power projects, participation in future tenders, green hydrogen ventures, and operations and maintenance services.

Additionally, Danantara emphasised the alliance’s role in attracting global expertise and foreign investment to support Indonesia’s energy transition. Pertamina highlighted the strategic nature of the collaboration in aligning energy security with low-carbon development. ACWA Power reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s long-term energy and water goals through these partnerships.
