Copenhagen Energy (CE) and PetroGreen Energy Corporation (PGEC) have secured the Green Lane Certificate from the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) for their joint floating offshore wind projects. This certification is aimed at expediting the permit process, allowing faster development of the planned 4 GW offshore wind farms in the Philippines. The projects are being developed under their partnership, BuhaWind Energy Philippines, formalised in 2022.

The initiative includes three floating wind farms: a 2 GW project in Northern Luzon expected to be operational by 2030, a 1 GW project in Northern Mindoro set to launch by 2031, and a 1 GW project in East Panay, scheduled for completion by 2033. These efforts are part of the growing push for renewable energy in the region.
