JCB International Company Limited has enabled contactless fare payment systems on the SRT Dark Red and Light Red Lines in Bangkok, Thailand. Passengers on the commuter rail line can now use their contactless JCB bankcards to pay for fares.
Till the end of March 2023, riders will also enjoy a cashback for fare payments made using the JCB cards.
In the future, JCB also plans to extend the payment system on other mass transit systems in Thailand.
