PT PembangkitanJawa Bali Masdar Solar Energi (PMSE), has commenced construction works on the Cirata Floating Photovoltaic (PV) Power Plant project in Indonesia. The floating solar facility will have a capacity of 145 MWand will be located on the Cirata reservoir. Commercial operations are scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2022.
The project is a part of the Government of Indonesia’s National Strategic Project (PSN). Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, SocieteGenerale and Standard Chartered Bank provided funding for the project.
PMSE is a joint venture (JV) between Masdar, a unit of Abu Dhabi-based Mubadal Investment Company, and PT PembangkitanJawa-BaliInvestasi(PT PJBI), a subsidiary of state-owned PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PT PLN).
