Citaglobal Reneuco Energy Solution Sdn Bhd (Crees), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed by Citaglobal Bhd and Reneuco Bhd, has been granted a conditional letter of award (CLOA) from Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) to serve a 30-year concession period. Crees will be responsible for providing and supplying 100 MW of electricity and renewable energy (RE) for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL).
The scope of the contract includes the development and construction of transmission and interconnection facilities at an investment of RM600 million, which are expected to be completed and become operational in stages from early to mid-2026. Upon the expiry of the concession period, MRL will renew the contract for an additional 30 years.
