CoherentPlus has announced its role in supporting Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd in deploying an open-loop payment system across its transit network in Sarawak. The project will be delivered in collaboration with PCI Technology Group, with CoherentPlus supplying its Jellies V2T devices along with software integration for fare collection.

The system will enable both tap-in/tap-out gates and ticketing machines, allowing passengers to pay using multiple options including Visa, Mastercard, MyDebit, Sarawak Pay, and Touch ‘n Go.

The initiative represents a step forward in modernising transit ticketing systems in Malaysia, aligning with broader trends toward contactless and interoperable payment solutions in public transport networks.
