Philippine-based Citicore Renewable Energy (CREC) is eyeing new ventures in Cambodia and Myanmar following its partnership with Indonesia’s Pertamina. The move marks the company’s first step toward broader regional expansion. CREC has plans to develop solar projects in Indonesia with the long-term goal of exporting power to Singapore, particularly for the green data centre market. He indicated that such cross-border solar exports could begin within the next two years.

CREC, which operates 10 utility-scale solar farms in the Philippines, is also considering a secondary listing in Singapore to support its regional ambitions. The company’s recent strategy aligns with Southeast Asia’s growing push for renewable energy integration. Talks are ongoing in various markets, as CREC seeks to establish a broader footprint beyond the Philippines while maintaining its focus as a pure-play renewable energy operator.
