The Changi Airport Group (CAG) has partnered with the Singapore Economic Development Board to launch a S$50 million ($34.8 million) programme to drive technological innovation at the airport over the next five years. The programme will serve as a platform for the airport operator, as well as government agencies, ground handlers, concessionaires, security providers and cleaning companies to test and demonstrate new solutions at Changi. The CAG has already started trials for the deployment of autonomous cleaning robots, and is also exploring the use of automated guided vehicles to ferry passengers between terminals.
