Changi Airport witnessed passenger traffic of 4.5 million during the month of March 2014, 2.5 per cent lower than the March 2013 figure. Cargo volume stood at 169,800 tonnes during March 2014, a decline of 1.3 per cent compared to the March 2013 figure. A total of 29,100 aircraft were handled at Changi Airport during March 2014, which surpassed the March 2013 figure by 2.5 per cent. During January–March 2014, the airport handled 13.2 million passengers, constituting an increase of 1.1 per cent over the corresponding period of 2013. It reported aircraft movements of 86,300 (amounting to a 4.5 per cent increase over the corresponding period in 2013) and cargo traffic of 446,900 tonnes.
