Cambodia-based mobile operator Cellcard has announced plans to invest $200 million over the next year to upgrade and expand 4G infrastructure in the country. It announced the commercial launch of 4G long term evolution services using the 1800 MHz spectrum band in November 2015 and aims to expand it, making it the biggest 4G network in the country by the second quarter of 2017. The company aims to improve high speed mobile data coverage, enabling it to survive in Cambodia’s highly competitive telecom market.
