The Provincial Government of Cebu has announced plans to deploy an automatic fare collection (AFC) system on the Cebu North Bus Terminal (CNBT), similar to the one deployed on the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT).
The CSBT system is a centralised automated ticketing system operated by Topline Hi-Tech Synergy Corporation. The company accepts payments using automated cards and also remits the fare collection to the bus companies using the Topline Travel mobile application. Further, Topline is expected to conduct a study on the proposed integration of and the financial projections for the CNBT project.
