The Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) will be powered by a recently completed on-grid and hybrid solar farm located in Cordova, Philippines. The PHP60 billion solar facility will be able to generate around 50.4 mWh of renewable energy per month that will power the roadway lights, traffic control room, CCTV system, road weather information system, etc.
Around 862 photovoltaic (PV) panels have been installed at three different areas of the toll expressway.
The CCLEX is an 8.9-km-long expressway between Cebu and Mactan Island, making it the longest bridge in the Philippines. Around 40,000 vehicles use the bridge daily.
