Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), has entered into agreements with EEI Corporation and D.M. Consunji Incorporation to expand its expressway network in the Philippines. The total value of these construction deals is around PHP5.09 billion.
The first agreement is valued at PHP1.79 billion, involves EEI Corporation building a 1.2-km-long extension (Segment 4) from the Manila-Cavite Expressway’s (Cavitex) Kawit toll plaza to the upcoming Cavite-Laguna Expressway’s (Calax) Kawit interchange. Construction works are scheduled to commence in June 2024 and are expected to begin passenger operations by mid-2025.
Meanwhile, the second agreement is valued at PHP3.3 billion and involves D.M. Consunji Incorporation completing the remaining part of the C5 Link Segment 3B.
