The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT), Cambodia, has called for the acceleration of strategic infrastructure development to strengthen national connectivity, improve logistics efficiency, and enhance investor confidence.

Key announcements included the launch of a specialised registration system for tricycles, motorcycles, and quadricycles, and the opening of the Olympia Public Service Centre to streamline vehicle oversight and services. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with Royal Railway PLC for temporary railway infrastructure maintenance to ensure continuity of freight services. Another MoU was signed on the development of a master plan to transform Sihanoukville Autonomous Port into a regional logistics hub.

Additional infrastructure milestones included concreting access roads to the Cambodia–China Friendship Bridge in Kratie, upgrades to the main railway near Phnom Penh International Airport, the temporary opening of Road 10, and the formal handover of National Road 48.
