Cambodia’s state-owned power company Electricite Du Cambodge has awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to China National Heavy Machinery Corporation for the construction of a 500 kV transmission network project.
The project will involve the construction of two 500 kV transmission lines connecting the western and eastern areas of the capital city, as well as the Cambodia-Laos border and Stung Treng province. It will form a grid network between Cambodia and its neighbours, including Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
