Brunei Met­hanol Com­pany Sdn Bhd signed a me­mo­­randum of understanding (MoU) with Universiti Brunei Darussalam in January 2025. This MoU seeks to trigger discussions aimed at identifying opportunities in areas such as hydrogen production and storage, carbon capture and utilisation, water remediation and treatment, corrosion protection and inhibition, and artificial intelligence-assisted advanced material design. These initiatives are expected to promote technological innovation and develop local human capital.
