BOURBON has been awarded a long-term offshore services agreement by Prime Energy Resources Development to support offshore energy operations in the Philippines. The contract includes a firm three-year term with an option for a two-year extension and marks BOURBON’s first collaboration with Prime Energy in the country.
The agreement will commence in August 2026 and will involve the deployment of the Bourbon Liberty 237, which will be operated and managed by BOURBON. The vessel is currently undergoing a conversion programme to enable the transportation of methanol for offshore operations. Modifications include tank conversions, installation of dedicated pumping systems, a nitrogen inert gas system, upgraded pipelines and protective coatings, subject to approvals from maritime authorities and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
Under the contract, the vessel will support Prime Energy’s Shallow Water Platform by undertaking condensate tanker lifting, anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) operations, static towing services and methanol supply activities. The project expands BOURBON’s presence in the Philippines and strengthens its position within the country’s offshore oil and gas services sector through a partnership with Bahtera Sri Kandi Pte Ltd.
