Bank Central Asia (BCA) has enabled passengers to pay for MRT Jakarta journeys using contactless BCA Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Passengers can tap their cards at station gates to enter and exit the system without purchasing a separate ticket or topping up a stored-value card.
The service requires a BCA credit card with the contactless feature enabled and sufficient available credit. Cardholders can activate the feature through the myBCA or BCA mobile applications. The payment facility supports both BCA Visa and BCA Mastercard credit cards and uses direct card tapping at station gates for fare payment.
The deployment adds bank card-based payments to MRT Jakarta’s fare collection options and removes the need for passengers to maintain a separate transport card balance for these journeys. The service uses contactless card technology to support entry and exit validation across the metro network.
