Alternergy Holdings Corporation (Alternergy) has secured PHP1 billion in funding from the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) to develop a 28 MW solar farm in Bataan, Philippines. The solar farm project will be developed by Solar Pacific Energy Corporation, an Alternergy subsidiary.
Additionally, a 100 MW wind power project in Rizal has also secured clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). The company will now commence the project’s development phase.
These projects are a part of Alternergy’s aim of developing 1,370 MW of renewable energy sources in the Philippines including onshore and offshore wind, solar, and hydropower projects.
