Basic Energy Corporation and AC Mobility Holdings Inc. have commenced commercial operations of the first two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations under their nationwide charging network rollout in the Philippines. Developed by Basic Energy Renewables Corporation in partnership with AC Mobility, the stations are located at the Total service station along the North Luzon Expressway and the EcoOil service station in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, and are now open to the public.
Each charging site is equipped with a 120 kW DC fast charger and a 22 kW AC charger to support a range of electric vehicles. The partners are continuing to expand the network, with two additional charging stations under construction at Total Sumulong and EcoOil Cainta, while 16 sites are in the design and costing stage, 20 locations are undergoing site surveys, and at least 51 prospective sites are being assessed for future deployment.
The charging network forms part of Basic Energy’s strategy to support the development of the Philippines’ electric mobility ecosystem. The initiative complements the Electric Transport Solution Program launched in April by Basic Energy, AC Mobility, First Gen Corporation and Ecology Builders Development Corporation, which aims to accelerate the adoption of electric buses and sustainable public transportation through integrated charging infrastructure and industry collaboration.
