APT Global continues to serve as the maintenance provider of the MRT-3, even after its contract expired recently

Autre Porte Technique Global (APT Global) has continued to serve as the maintenance provider of the metro tail transit (MRT)-3, even after its contract expired recently. DOTC is yet to decide on a new maintenance provider and, therefore, has extended APT Global’s contract on an interim (month-to-month) basis. APT Global will continue to receive PhP 57 million a month. DOTC is currently in the process of bidding out a PhP 2.25 billion, three-year contract for  MRT-3 maintenance. The contract is set to be awarded by December 2014.
