Airports of Thailand (AOT) has set a budget of THB140 billion to complete two airport projects, including the new Andaman International Airport in Phangnga and a second phase renovation of the Chiang Mai Airport.

Meanwhile, AOT also plans to appoint a consultant to finalise the total cost of the Andaman International Airport project by the end of 2023. Once approved, the project will last seven years, of which the research and development phase will take three years and the construction work will take four. The airport is expected to commence passenger operations by 2031.
