Yann Maixandeau, Managing Director, East Asia, Alstom

Yann Maixandeau has been appointed as the Managing Director of Alstom for its East Asia cluster. Based in Singapore, he will oversee the company’s operations and business performance across eight markets: Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam. The appointment comes as Alstom continues to expand its presence in the region’s growing rail and urban transit sector.

Yann Maixandeau brings nearly two decades of experience with Alstom, having held leadership roles across strategy, operations, finance and project management in Singapore, Malaysia, India, South Africa, France and Brazil. Most recently, he served as Managing Director for Singapore and Malaysia. He will lead a regional organisation of more than 1,600 employees supporting metro, monorail, signalling, rolling stock and rail infrastructure projects across East Asia.

Alstom’s regional portfolio includes the Bangkok Pink and Yellow monorail lines, Taipei’s Wanda–Zhonghe–Shulin and Circular lines, Hanoi Metro Line 3, and the Manila LRT-1 Cavite Extension. The company is also delivering the North–South Commuter Railway Extension in the Philippines, the KLIA Automated People Mover (APM) system in Malaysia, signalling systems for Singapore’s Circle Line and Thomson–East Coast Line, Hong Kong’s LAR extension, and a long-term signalling services contract in South Korea. The leadership appointment supports Alstom’s strategy to strengthen its position in East Asia as demand for sustainable rail infrastructure continues to grow.
