France-based Akuo Energy, a renewable power producer and developer, has announced a partnership with Denmark-based Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) for the development of more than 400 MW of renewable energy projects in Indonesia.

A joint venture (JV) has been formed between Copenhagen Infrastructure New Markets Fund (CI NMF) and Akuo’s subsidiary PT Akuo Energy Indonesia, that will develop an initial portfolio of onshore wind, solar and run-of-river hydro projects totalling over 400 MW. This represents around 4.5 per cent of the additional capacity needed for Indonesia to achieve its goal of 23 per cent renewable energy by 2025.
