Airports of Thailand (AOT) has reported a net profit of 2,479.46 million baht during the third quarter of financial year ended June 30, 2014. This is 21.35 per cent lower than the amount reported during the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Total revenues declined by 6.4 per cent to 9,095.81 million baht during the third quarter of financial year 2014–15. Of AOT’s total revenues , non-aeronautical revenues account for 42 per cent. The decline in profit is attributed to the reduced traffic at Suvarnabhumi airport. AOT has also approved the plan to fast track the expansion work at Suvarnabhumi airport. It involves the construction of a new passenger terminal and monorail system.
