AC Energy (ACEN) has announced plans to construct its fourth wind power facility in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Construction on the PHP6 billion Amihan (Caparispisan 2) wind power project is expected to commence by the end of 2022 with commercial operation scheduled to start by 2024.
ACEN has also signed an agreement with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Technology (SGRE) for the supply and installation of 14 wind turbines for the 70 MW wind farm.
Once completed, the facility will be able to generate over 220 GWh of RE annually and offset over 130,000 tons of carbon emissions every year.
